About GetVirtual

Our mission is to bridge the gap between education and industry by connecting talented university students with local businesses.

Our Story

Since 2020

Founded in 2020 by UCSC students and faculty, GetVirtual emerged to meet two critical needs: giving students real-world experience and helping small businesses access affordable digital solutions in an increasingly online economy accelerated by COVID.

What began as a small pilot program with 10 students and 2 local Santa Cruz businesses has grown into a thriving community spanning the entire Bay Area and beyond, connecting hundreds of students with businesses.

Today, Get Virtual continues to evolve, offering comprehensive courses, mentorship programs, and a platform that makes it easy for students and businesses to find their perfect match.
